'I feel privileged that Mrs. Sarah Giri gave me an opportunity to train the Deaf in Nepal.. I feel the 3 weeks of dancing with them was more of a lesson for me, than for them...

They taught me to enjoy the dance from my heart, from my movements and not through music... my interaction with them made me realise that music is not what we hear, but music is what we listen from our soul... today when I teach International celebrities like Shakira, Beyonce, Kenny G, Britney and even the queen of pop Madonna... I always remember to dance from within... I am glad that I was introduced to the Deaf Culture. It has made me a better dancer and a better human being'

'Silence silence silence.. i would initially run away from it as it was scary for me.... but when i interacted with the deafies in Nepal that fear disappeared completely....

Sagar Khadga

Hi, this is Sagar Khadga from National Campus. Working with the Deaf and Sarah Giri has opened one great door of experience.Life is amazing. When Sarah asked me to take dance lessons from Sandip Soparrkar's Trainer, I did not know what to say. The lady is a strong person and knows when to put the right pressure ...

Sachin Gurung

Once upon a time, there was a boy, born in a Muslim country (Brunei), brought up in the then Hindu kingdom of Nepal and sent by Buddhist parents to a Christian school. Mischievous and somehow studious, he finally got admission into a Medical College. In college, one of the several self discoveries he made was his deep passion for dance. Around the same time, he saw an advertisement about a 3 day-Ballroom Dance workshop. Excited, he got himself enrolled.

Always Thankful

First of all, dear Sandip, no words can fully express my appreciation for the human warmth and bonding you extended by accepting to come, share and love our Deaf Dance Team. May you reap bountifully from the good you have sown in this garden!

Jessy, the grace and beauty of your presence, your down to earth interactions and your humility to acknowledge learning from us Deaf ….. they have all taught us so much, they will all be remembered for a long, long time!

Sachin, the diversity in you is a gem! From medical practice, to dancing and to glowing streaks of spirituality ….a rare combination indeed! Thank you for coming, for staying, for working hard to learn and practice and even dreaming of togetherness with the Deaf in times to come.

Sagar, you ‘baby’ of the group but by no means ‘baby’ when it came to learning, practicing and teaching. Your diligence and persistence and of course, your style all took us by storm. Thank you Sagar for responding to the call for help, for staying, for making life fun for all of us!
